Statue Of Peace In Srinagar Virtually Unveiled By Amit Shah

Union Minister Amit Shah virtually unveiled the statue of peace – Swamy Ramanujacharya in Srinagar at a virtual ceremony. The temple is located in the Sonwar region of Srinagar. Shah, during the ceremony, said that the unveiling of this statue will be a symbol of peace, not only in Kashmir but the entire country too. Amit Shah added that after Srinagar, the statue of peace will be installed in Gujarat next year.

Amit Shah, on Thursday shared a few glimpses of the temple and virtual ceremony on his official Twitter account. He wrote, ‘श्री श्री यतिराजा जीयर स्वामी जी के मार्गदर्शन में श्री यदुगिरी यतिराज मठ रामानुजाचार्य जी की शिक्षा व सिद्धांतों के माध्यम से देशभर में सनातन संस्कृति के जनजागरण व मानव सेवा का उल्लेखनीय कार्य कर रहा है। मठ द्वारा किये जा रहे इन पुनीत कार्यों के लिए मैं उनका अभिनंदन करता हूँ।’

Statue Of Peace In Hyderabad

Earlier this year, the statue of peace was also unveiled in Hyderabad. The status stood at a height of 216 feet. During the unveiling of the statue in Srinagar, he also announced that the same will be built in Gujarat too.

Swamy Ramanujacharya was an iconic personality from Tamil Nadu, known as a philosopher and social reformer. He was firmly against discrimination based on caste and relied upon a person’s character. He was also the first Hindu saint to initiate women.
