The coronavirus neither stops nor waits for anyone. It can infect any person, anytime irrespective of one’s religion, age, caste, economic status, gender or creed. While most of us are sitting at home, binge-watching shows, working from home and spending time with our families, the essential service providers like policemen, drivers, grocery shop owners, doctors, nurses and many more, are working day and night, to do their bit to make our lives more comfortable and cure people who are battling their lives due to the coronavirus. Our ancestors changed history by going out for wars, and all we have to do is just stay back home and do our bit. But in spite of incessant pleadings and warnings, a group of people ventured out in Hubballi in Karnataka to attend the Friday prayer meet in a mosque. The police forbid them to carry out their prayer meet due to the nationwide lockdown to combat the spread of coronavirus. But the group were offended by this and threw stones at the police.

In a mosque in Karnataka’s Hubballi region, many people gathered to offer their Friday prayers. However, the police who were out on rounds requested them not to gather because of the order of the government and to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease but some of the people became sentimental about this.
