Pancham Puriwala – A small eatery started 100 years ago is now Mumbai’s oldest restaurant. In the year 1848, a man called Pancham Sharma walked from Agra to Mumbai and opened up a stall selling traditional breakfast of Uttar Pradesh, Puri Sabzi. It is one of crowdest restaurants of Mumbai and has 4 generations of customers visiting this place from India and abroad, enjoying the cult dish i.e. Puri and Aloo Bhople Ki Sabzi. If you stand at Pancham Puriwala and ask stories of Mr Pancham, people will often talk about his kindness. Mr Pancham helped many people and provided free food to the poor.
