A string of severe storms wreaked havoc in several cities in Canada and the United States of America. From Toronto to New York, global cities suffered multiple damages from the sudden strong storms and gusty winds accompanied by heavy rainfall and lightning in areas. The concerned authorities are working relentlessly to control the devastating conditions and restore things to normal.

Windy Storms Trigger Chaos In Toronto

Have you watched Drake’s viral Instagram story? The Canadian rapper’s mansion named ‘The Embassy’ is located in the Bridle Path neighborhood in Toronto. The city was lashed by powerful storms recently triggering flash floods in places. Drake’s luxe home was unfortunately submerged in dirty contaminated rainwater.

The wave of storms created horrible consequences for residents living in the affected areas. According to information from Toronto Hydro, about 1,67,000 faced inconveniences due to power cuts in the past couple of days. The process to restore electricity is still ongoing. On Tuesday, Toronto witnessed rainfall of 100mm, according to Environment Canada. As per a report by BBC, this city in Canada crossed its daily record reported back in 1941.

Pictures and videos making rounds on social media platforms show passenegrs trapped inside their vehicles and stranded in flooded areas. The recent torrential rainstorm devastated parts of Toronto with flash floods, submerged localities, power cuts, blocking highways, and creating dreadful chaos.

New York’s Rome suffered multiple damages following the recent storm and severe weather conditions. According to a report by The New York Times, the steeple of this city’s oldest church broke. Also, roofs were detached from houses during a powerful tornado lashing Rome. According to a report by India Today, many buildings shattered and broke down terribly.
