According to a report by Livemint, VFS Global, a visa outsourcing and technology service, provided some advice on how students might avoid being conned while submitting applications to foreign colleges.

Here are some points to keep in mind while applying for student visa:

  • If they are contacted by third parties posing as visa service providers and offering an appointment or a good visa decision using our company’s name or another, visa applicants are recommended to proceed with care.
  • Additionally, students should do their research and thoroughly examine the information on the educational institutions they plan to attend.
  • To prevent falling victim to such “grey operators,” it is advised to apply for visas as early as possible given the tremendous pent-up demand for international travel from India.

VFS stated that the US, UK, Canada, and Australia are the most popular study-abroad countries, using data from the education ministry. In recent years, travellers have also started to favour France and Germany.
