In a recent unfortunate incident, the Titanic OceanGate submarine went missing on Sunday. With 5 people on board, the submersible went on a journey to explore the Titanic wreckage off the coast of Newfoundland. The submarine lost contact on the Titanic mission and went missing into the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. Proper investigation and rescue operations are going in full swing to find the lost 21-foot submersible.
OceanGate Submarine Hasn’t Been Traced Back Yet!
Oceangate Expeditions shared about this saddening incident on Facebook. They stated how that they are mobilising all their options so that they can bring everyone trapped safely. Further, it is also added that many government agencies and deep sea companies are also helping the company to search and rescue the crew.
The journey on the OceanGate submarine to explore the wreckage began on Sunday morning. According to a report by abc News, the submarine failed to connect after around 1 hour and 45 minutes and got missing in the depths of the ocean. Among the 5 passengers on board the vessel, it has been reported that French diver Hamish Harding is also on this adventurous ride underwater. Hamish Harding shared on Facebook about his new thrilling journey, according to a report by the Independent. A British billionaire is also suspected to be on the lost submarine during this Titanic mission.

The Vessel Has Only 96 Hours Of Oxygen

Rear Adm. John Mauger is the 1st District Commander of the US Coast Guard and he shared some necessary updates about this incident on Monday. He stated that the submarine is designed in a way that can hold only 96 hours of oxygen. OceanGate adviser David Concannon also shared that the vessel held oxygen for 96 hours. The supply began on Sunday at around 6 am.
Massive searches and rescue operations are currently being conducted in search of the people trapped in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. In fact, rescuers are diving deep into about 13,000 feet to look for everyone.
