From daily soaps and reality TV shows to Bollywood, at just 23, Avneet Kaur has made a name for herself in all fields! So, in the latest episode of Sunday Brunch, our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani met and enjoyed a vegan meal with her at Blah!, Santacruz, and here’s how it went down.
Avneet Kaur Enjoys A Delicious Meal With Kamiya Jani
Avneet Kaur was born in Jalandhar and later moved to Mumbai, where she started her performing career at the age of 8. Of course, moving to a new city like Mumbai was a difficult decision but with her grandfather’s support, Avneet moved to the City of Dreams with her parents.
Being a child artist, Avneet Kaur revealed she has seen a lot on the sets. An introvert at heart, she shared how difficult it was for her to open up to people and share her thoughts out loud. Seeing how much she has accomplished at such a young age, does she ever feel the pressure of ‘what’s next’? She replied, “Yeah question humesha mere dimag mein aata hai. I love experimenting, I love trying new things. For me, it’s always like “what’s next!” “what do I have to do next”? aise kya cheeze hai jo main apne andar better kar sakti hun. I feel once you become complacent, that’s when you stop growing!”
While we were enjoying the delicious Sunday Brunch, we had to ask her what she missed the most about Jalandhar and her prompt reply was, food! According to her, Punjab’s food is the best and every time she goes there, Avneet Kaur makes sure she eats all her favourites.

What Does A Sunday Brunch At Her Home Look Like?
So, what does a Sunday Brunch at Avneet’s home look like? “Aloo ke parathe, chole bhature, rajma chawal…yeah saari cheeze hoti hai, and I love eating it all! Main toh do-do parthe khaa jaati thi, par ab thoda kaam kar diya hai. I used to eat a lot of junk food–burgers, pizza, fries, everything! When I switched, I saw a lot of changes, like I was more energetic, was more active throughout the day. The skin looked better, less bloating…all these important things. More than anything, skipping junk food made me realise the importance of being healthy.”
