Karan Aujla Talks About His Mom

Seeing Karan Aujla perform on stage might make you think of his grand and happening life, but that’s not the full truth. The singer has had his share of ups and downs. His sheer hard work and dedication have made him the Punjabi singer who is loved by millions today. On this segment of Sunday Brunch, he opened up to our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani. He lost his parents at a very early age, beginning with his father, who passed away in an accident. While he was still processing that, his sisters left for Canada, and he stayed alone with his mother in Punjab.

After some time, his mother was diagnosed with cancer, and doctors told him she had only 8-9 months left. He and his sisters decided to come together and spend that time with her. Karan said, “That was one of the hardest parts of my life.” He added that during those months, he constantly felt that “any second she (his mom) could leave.”

He Found It Hard To Process His Feelings

The time was especially tough for Karan Aujla as he was still in school, with exams going on. He recalled how his mother used to suffer in pain, and he would do his best to make her feel comfortable before she passed away.
