This Sunday, Curly Tales had the pleasure of stepping into Govinda’s beautiful Juhu home. Our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani was invited by Sunita Ahuja and Tina Ahuja to enjoy a delicious and authentic Punjabi meal. When we asked Sunita ji if she could cook, she revealed that she learnt how to cook to impress Govinda and this is what she cooked to woo him!

Sunita Ahuja is known for speaking her mind out and of course, her legendary laughter! She feels only a person with a clean heart can laugh out loud and we had the best time with her on the latest episode of Sunday Brunch with Curly Tales. Over an authentic Punjabi meal, she revealed how she impressed her husband and Bollywood superstar Govinda.

 

“Main 16 saal ki thi when I met Govinda and made bhindi and toor dal for him. My mom is a really good cook and unko dekh dekh ke sikha. I knew Govinda is a foodie. Toh maine socha isko patane ke lie khana banana sikhlo bhaiya, tabhi yeah aadmi control main rahega,” she shared.

Sunita ji further shared that when she got married, her mother-in-law ate food without any onion or garlic. So, she learned how to cook food. Now, she can make dishes like mutton, biryani, and chicken.

Sunita Ahuja revealed that the entire Ahuja family is a foodie and while they follow a certain diet during the week, Sundays are for eating their favourite food! For the Sunday Brunch, she and Tina treated Kamiya to authentic Punjabi food. The menu included dishes like sarson ka saag, maaki roti, palak paneer, phul gobhi aloo, aloo tikki, and kebabs. For dessert, we enjoyed garma garam gajar ka halwa with rabri, the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal!
