Surajkund International Crafts Mela, 2023
This is the 36th edition of the Surajkund International Crafts Mela, which is organised annually in Faridabad. This year, the event bears witness to the cultures from countries like Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, Cambodia, UAE, and Myanmar, to name a select few. Moreover, visitors can interact with artisans, crafts, persons, and artists from across the globe! It’s worth noting that this year the partner nation is the Shanghai Corporation organisation.
The Northeast comprises eight states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. Together, they form the North-eastern Region, which also happens to be the theme region this year. This is evident from the thematic decor, which reflects the streets, landmarks, and overall cultural diversity of the region.

A Confluence Of Craftspersons
The ongoing Surajkund Mela will go on till the 19th of February. This fiesta features a mega confluence of craftspersons from across the country. These include but are not limited to states, such as Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.
