A Swiggy delivery boy was recently fired from his job as he did not deliver an order to a customer in Delhi. Named Sachin Panchal, the delivery agent was supposed to deliver an order near the Marghat Hanuman Mandir premises at Kashmere Gate. But Sachin refused to do so as the location was in the premises of the temple and he did not want to deliver non-vegetarian food to a place where prasad is prepared. He shared on Tuesday that he was fired but on the other hand, some representatives of Swiggy mentioned that his working ID is still there.
Here’s What Swiggy Has To Say On This:
Swiggy stated that it is the responsibility of the delivery agent to deliver the food orders to the customers’ houses. But Sachin did not do this and argued with the company’s customer service representative. He also argued with the customer on a call.

When Did All This Begun?
Swiggy is now trending on Twitter with tons of reactions from all around. It was on 1 March when the incident took place. A man named Abhishek Sharma placed an order of Mutton Korma and Nann from a restaurant using the Swiggy application. The customer is the owner of Ram Kachoriwala and this shop is located near the premises of the Marghat Baba Hanuman Mandir. When Sachin saw the delivery address, he refused to deliver as he did not want to disrespect the sacred temple.
Sachin informed that he will not be delivering the order as the shop is near the temple and also prasad is made in this shop. So, he did not feel it right to deliver non-veg to such a place. However, Abhishek mentioned that the shop is about 150 steps away from the temple. He also added that he frequently orders non-veg food here. The temple’s board honoured the delivery boy for his act.

Swiggy delivery boy who refused to deliver non veg inside temple premises has no regrets and says I did it for my Dharma..
That’s precisely why #HinduphobicSwiggy shunted him out

The recent Billboard advertisement of @Swiggy is a clear attempt to defame Holi & create a negative perception among people. The lack of similar Ads for non-Hindu festivals shows a clear bias. Show some sensitivity and Apologize to Hindu community. #HinduPhobicSwiggy pic.twitter.com/vSomzhSiBO
