Taj Hotels Opens Its Doors To Doctors And Nurses Fighting The Pandemic
As a gesture of gratitude to all the doctors and nurses who are trying their best to provide the best possible health care to patients, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), the hospitality business of Tata Sons, has offered to accommodate these ‘Super Heroes’ at 5 of their luxurious properties in Maharashtra, one in Goa and one in Uttar Pradesh.
Acknowledging the contribution of the medical community during this crisis, a spokesperson of IHCL said, “During these trying times, we at IHCL are keenly aware of our responsibility towards our community. As a reflection of our commitment, beginning today, we are offering rooms for the medical fraternity to stay while they combat the spread of the virus.”
These rooms will be available at Taj Mahal Palace, Taj Lands End, Taj Santacruz, The President, Ginger MIDC Andheri (Maharashtra), Ginger Madgaon (Goa) and Ginger Noida City Center (Uttar Pradesh).

Not Just This, The Tata Group Has Been Involved In Other Initiatives As Well
The Taj Group has also been working with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to offer complimentary meals to all doctors and health staff working relentlessly to serve coronavirus patients. The group also recently collaborated with renowned Indian celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor to provide nutritious meals to doctors and other staff at hospitals.
Previously, the group had also announced ₹ 1,500 crores to manufacture personal protective equipment, respiratory systems, and testing kits as well as protect and empower all affected communities. “We deeply value the contribution from the medical community and will continue to work with them as well as the local authorities as we navigate through this crisis,” Tata Trusts said.
