Take a ‘Rendezvous in Paris’ This September At Louvre Abu Dhabi

Louvre Abu Dhabi always gets us excited with its art displays and expenditures. Now, there’s an exhibition coming up and its sure to take you back to the golden times in France. This September, experience the Parisian works from the 1900s-1930s and get to know the European art like never before at Abu Dhabi’s Louvre.

What’s It?

The exhibition titled ‘Rendezvous in Paris: Picasso, Chagall, Modigliani & Co.” will bring more than 80 works of art by the whose who of ‘School of Paris’ like Pablo Picasso, Chaïm Soutine, Marc Chagall, Tamara de Lempicka, Juan Gris and Constantin Brancusi. And, the exhibition is set to be brought by Louvre Abu Dhabi, Centre Pompidou and Agence-France Museums for the last quarter of 2019.

From paintings, sculptures to photographs, 50 migrant artistes will showcase their works of the early 20th century France. So, the exhibition looks to trace their creative journeys in the unique sociopolitical climate of a liberal France and allow the visitors to get a glimpse of this golden artistic era of the century.

The Cultural programmes will have multitude of artists showcasing their works inspired from the School of Paris. From Cubist artists works inspired by Picasso to Streb’s Revolution and Rock performances. Additionally, there are set to be cultural presentations we are looking forward to. These include film screenings by Hind Mezaina and an electro night thanks to UAE’s DJs like Hassan Alwan and Tristan Girault.
