The Indian Railways is all set to introduce the Vande Bharat Express between Tatanagar and Puri, significantly improving travel connectivity across Jharkhand and Odisha. The semi-high-speed train will cut the travel time to approximately 8 hours, offering a swift, modern, and comfortable alternative to existing services. The train offers premium amenities and an efficient schedule, benefiting both regular commuters and tourists travelling to the religious coastal city of Puri.
Faster Journeys On The Tatanagar To Puri Route
The Tatanagar to Puri Vande Bharat Express is designed to cover a distance of 514 km in around 8 hours. As reported by ET Now, the train will operate six days a week, excluding Thursdays. It will depart from Tatanagar at 6:10 AM and arrive in Puri by 2:10 PM. The return journey will begin from Puri at 2:40 PM and reach Tatanagar by 10:40 PM.

This train will have eight coaches, consisting of AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car classes. The planned stoppages include key stations such as Jhargram, Ghatsila, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Khurda Road. These stops will ensure connectivity for both metropolitan hubs and smaller towns along the route.
Vande Bharat Offers Premium Comfort And Modern Facilities
The Vande Bharat trains are known for their modern features, and the Tatanagar to Puri Vande Bharat Express is no exception. As per Indian Railways’ standard for Vande Bharat services, passengers can expect comfortable seating, improved air conditioning, automatic doors, onboard infotainment, and bio-vacuum toilets.

ET Now reports that the train will charge fares ranging from ₹1,500 for AC Chair Car to ₹2,400 for Executive Chair Car, offering options to suit different budgets. The journey promises not just speed but also a comfortable and hassle-free experience.
