The Telangana Food Safety Department continues to raid eateries and restaurants all around the state regularly. Recently, they headed to two restaurants for inspections, found improper things, and took necessary steps. A team of the Telangana Food Safety Department visited two places in Kothapet and here’s everything they came across.

A task force team of the Telangana food safety department was assigned to raid two restaurants in Kothapet on August 23. Taking to the X platform, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana shared the necessary updates about the inspections. Read on to know about these places.

The task force team of the Telangana Commissioner of Food Safety first raided Barbeque Nation in the Kothapet area. While investigating the famous outlet, they found that the tiles placed near the live kitchen were broken. Next, they discarded a few damaged potatoes on the spot. The team of officials also discovered open dustbins inside kitchen premises and none of them had proper lids.

The food safety department found that the FSSAI license true copy was displayed at the entrance of the premises properly. Next, the food handlers present at the restaurant wore haircaps and aprons. Also, medical fitness certificates and pest control records were available at the Barbeque Nation outlet in Kothapet. The premises of the establishment were fitted well with insect-proof screens.

The Team Conducted An Inspection At Nine O Nine Pub

The task force team of the Telangana Food Safety Department headed to Nine O Nine Pub in Kothapet to raid the place. Here’s all about everything they found at the restaurant. The team discovered water stagnation in the drain inside the kitchen premises because of a patchy surface. They found synthetic food colours inside the store room. There was a chance of chefs using these in prepared food and hence were discarded on the spot. The window and door inside the kitchen premises had no insect-proof screen.

Medical fitness certificates for food handlers were not obtainable with the FBO. Also, the water analysis report for RO water used in the kitchen was not available with the FBO. The FSSAI license true copy was present at the billing counter. The team came across food handlers wearing haircaps and aprons. There were records for pest control as well.
