Telangana Food Safety Department often inspects eateries and restaurants within the state and shares crucial information about the raids on social media. These details alert Netizens to avoid visiting even the most famous places in a city as the kitchens are dirty and food items aren’t stored properly among other hygiene issues. This time, the food safety department’s task force team raided two restaurants in the hi-tech city of Hyderabad and here’s about everything that they came across.

The Department Raided Exotica In Hyderabad’s Hi-Tech City

On July 27, a task force team investigated Exotica in the hi-tech city. The team found disturbing things at this North Indian restaurant and shared all necessary information about this inspection on X. They found a live cockroach infestation inside the store room. Next, the conditions inside the refrigerator storing meat were filthy. Dustbins kept near the vegetable cutting area did not have covers.

Many semi-prepared food articles were stored inside the refrigerator. These did not have definite labelling providing information about preparation and use-by dates.

There was a copy of the FSSAI licence on the premises. The food handlers’ medical fitness certificates were available with FBO during the raid.

Telangana Food Safety Department Raided Two Restaurants On July 27

The task force team also inspected Ming Ustad in Hi-Tech city on the same day. The officials found the restaurant violating food safety norms. They discarded 200g expired mushrooms and 360g expired kasuri methi. The refrigerator had semi-prepared food articles without proper labels of preparation and use-by dates. The same refrigerator was used to store both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items.

Dustbins at this Indo-Chinese restaurant did not have any lids. Not all food handlers were wearing hairnets. The prominent location inside the premises of Ming Ustad did not have the FSSAI licence true copy.

The premises of the restaurant were fitted with mesh. Medical fitness certificates of food handlers were available with FBO.
