In our latest episode of Tere Gully Mein, the powerhouse of talent, Ridhi Dogra, took us on a journey through Kamala Nehru College and GK-M Block Market, revisiting cherished memories in the lanes of Delhi. This Dilli kudi began her career in TV serials and has since entertained audiences in blockbuster films and series such as Asur, Savarmati Report, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and many more. Join us as we explore Delhi from Ridhi’s point of view. Here’s how it went down.
Exploring Ridhi Dogra’s College In Delhi
Ridhi Dogra took us to Kamala Nehru College, where she completed her degree in psychology. She shared how enthusiastic she was during her college and school days and how thoroughly familiar she is with all things related to her college. Coincidentally, the college was hosting a Psychology Department fest when we visited there, which got Ridhi Dogra excited, as it reminded her of the days when she used to organise events and invite artists to perform.
For her, the college was like a second home, and she was especially fond of dancing. There’s a special spot in the college that used to be her ‘adda’, where she would hang out with her friends. Ridhi also took us to the canteen and made us try her all-time favourite, chowmein. Just one spoonful was enough to hit Ridhi with a wave of nostalgia, instantly transporting her back to her college days. Smiling, she said, “Wahi kachi sabziyaan, wahi namak zyada, it’s the same.” She also stopped by a Bhel Puri stall outside the college, where she recalled that the vendor’s father used to run the stall earlier, and the taste of the Bhel Puri is still the same.
She Opened Up About Her Role In The Film Jawan
When asked if her studies helped in her career, Ridhi Dogra said that psychology has immensely supported her in the world of acting. Ridhi shared, “Psychology helps me to this day. It allows me not to judge my characters, whether they’re black, white, or grey. In Jawan, I played a much older character, and that’s only possible when you approach roles with a neutral perspective. It doesn’t make you insecure, like, if I play this character, will people always see me this way?’’ Even though she dreamt of being romantically paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Jawan was still an incredible opportunity that she embraced wholeheartedly.

Ridhi’s Favourite Spots At GK-M Block Market
She then took us to try Delhi’s famous Dolma Aunty Ke Momos and even shared a great spot for momos in Mumbai. The next stop was a Shakarkandi stall, where she treated us to some delicious chaat. As we explored the markets, we talked about how one can identify someone from Delhi. To this, she replied, “Delhi walo ki vibe hai na, ki tu jaanta nahi main kaun hoon, woh hum sab mein hoti hai. Aur humein koi troll kar hi nahi sakta, yaar!”
We even played a fun round of ‘Never Have I Ever’ with Ridhi Dogra, during which she revealed several fun facts about herself. To find out more, don’t forget to catch the full episode on our Curly Tales YouTube channel.
