Imagine coming back from a nice trip abroad only to find that your suitcases have been damaged beyond repair! Can be quite a sad ending to an otherwise nice getaway, right? Well, that’s exactly what Indian hockey star Rani Rampal experienced with Air India recently! Rani took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the incident and even posted a picture of the broken suitcase. Rani Rampal Calls Out Air India For Damaging Luggage; Airline Responds

Padma Shri award winner and Indian hockey player, Rani Rampal recently shared her horrible experience with Air India on X (formerly Twitter). In the post, Rani shared a picture of her broken suitcase and thanked the airlines for the “wonderful surprise.”

Rani Rampal was travelling back to India from Canada with Air India. To her utter shock, when she received her suitcase from the luggage belt, it was broken. In the picture, you can spot a huge crack in the suitcase coupled with several smaller ones. Expressing her disappointment with the airline, she wrote, “This is how your staff treat our bags. On my way back from Canada to India this afternoon after landing in Delhi I found my bag broken.”

Air India responded to the post and apologised for the entire ordeal. They even asked for Rani’s details so they could take necessary action. The post has garnered a lot of attention and netizens are asking Rani Rampal to seek compensation or a refund from the airline for this incident.

Indian-American CEO Shared His Bad First-Class Experience With The Airline

Rani Rampal’s luggage damage isn’t the only incident that has brought Air India under the scanner recently. Just a few weeks back, Indian-American CEO Anip Patel shared his bad first-class experience while travelling from Chicago to Delhi with Air India. According to his social media post, he found a lot of dirt and dust lodged in places. In his caption, he said that “everything looked worn out or broken.”

He called the overall experience “pretty frustrating” and even cautioned people against booking flights with the airline. In a later update, he mentioned that after seeing his video on social media, the airline actually refunded his $6,300 flight ticket (about ₹5.2 lakh).
