Thanks To Emiratis, UAE Has Added 4 New Guinness World Records To Its List

The UAE and Guinness World Records go hand in hand. The country is a recipient of many awards in the past. It always strives to earn as many records as possible. The palm fountain at its launch broke the world record, whereas Global Village has already broken two records within one month of its opening. And now the country has done it again. This year, four new recording-breaking achievements have been added to the UAE’s name.

Three Emiratis Broke Record On Guinness World Record’s Day

On this year’s, Guinness World Records Day, three emiratis managed to break the record. The digital event this year lasted for 24 hours and celebrated the creativity, dedication, and passion of people around the world. Three emiratis- Omeir Saeed Omeir Yousef Almheiri, Dr Khawla AlRomaithi and Meera Al Hosani bought home four titles and were declared ‘Officially Amazing’. Whereas, people from Japan, the UK and other countries won varied titles too.

UAE Now Total Has 425 World Records In Its Kitty

Omeir Saeed Omeir Yousef Almheiri managed to break not one, but two records. He broke the record for Farthest wakeboard ramp jump (male)and Most wakeboard rail airs (supermans) in 30 seconds. Almheiri shattered the former record set by Jérôme Macquart from France in 2004. Well, that’s not it, he also gained another title when he broke the previous record, also by MacQuart, by achieving a total of 10 wakeboard rail airs in 30 seconds.

Whereas, Khawla AlRomaithi set a world record for the fastest time to travel to all seven continents. Her record time is 3-days, 14 hours, 46 minutes and 48 seconds. She beat the initial record of 3 days, 20 hours, 4 minutes, and 19 seconds held by Kasey Stewart and Julie Berry in December 2017. For Meera Al Hosani, she used 1,447 socks to write the word ‘Happiness’ in Arabic, creating the world’s largest sock word.

Well, this indeed is really cool, and we are so proud of all of them. With this, the UAE now holds a total of 425 world records and we can’t be more proud of it.
