Hotel Bookings In These Indian Cities Witness An Uptick
According to information shared by the famous travel company MakeMyTrip, many Indian cities are witnessing an increase in the bookings of homestays and hotels. This increase in bookings is around the dates of India matches which is an indication of the craze that the country has for cricket.
The city which, so far, has witnessed the highest increase in bookings is Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Tamil Nadu’s Chennai has witnessed the second-highest traction and Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh is the third on this list.
As per MakeMyTrip, bookings in cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Pune witness an increase in bookings for dates beyond India matches as well. It is clear that events like the ICC World Cup 2023 become akin to a golden ticket for the travel industry.

About The ICC World Cup 2023
The ICC World Cup 2023 will be the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup. It will commence on October 5, 2023, and will be played between England and New Zealand. The showdown between the two countries will take place at the largest stadium in the world, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The first match in which India is playing will be held on October 8, 2023, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. India will play against Australia in this match. This is especially why the cities in which matches are being held are witnessing an uptick in hotel bookings.
