Adversities reveal the truth about each one of us. As the grip of coronavirus gets stronger and humanity pushes on a war towards a safe and secure future, few exceptional beings rise above to help their fellow mankind. And India gets the heroes it needs and deserves. A man from Uttarakhand uses his own car as an ambulance to drive patients to hospitals in the hilly region. His noble deed has been winning hearts across the country and many have hailed him to be the local hero amid the coronavirus lockdown.
What’s In It?
Hailing from Devprayag, Uttarakhand Ganesh Bhatt, a 32-year-old man is using his own vehicle as an emergency service after he learned that ambulance drivers are scarce in his area. He can be contacted on 9410530387. Addressing the media, Bhatt said that, “We all know how the healthcare system is in the hilly regions of our state; ambulance services are not efficient even at the best of times and to top that, now local drivers do not want to take people to hospitals even if they are paid Rs 2000, as they are scared they might get infected. So I started using my own car as an ambulance.”
