The much talked about bullet train working from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will leave every 20 minutes during peak hours.
What Is It?
The construction on the bullet trains in India have started and we have good news for the ones traveling from Mumbai to Ahmedabad. The bullet trains will leave from Bandra Kurla Complex every 20 minutes during peak hours. The train will cover a 530 km stretch in only 2 hours, whereas the trains running now take nearly 7 hours. It will run at a speed of 320 km per hour.

What Do We Know?
Currently, there are 20 trains traveling from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, but those numbers will shoot up once the bullet trains start functioning. The railway authorities are saying that they need at least 35 pairs of bullet trains traveling to and fro which means 70 trains per day.
During the peak hours of 7 am to 9 am, and 5 pm to 9 pm, there will be 3 trains each hour at the interval of 20 minutes. There are 12 stations that are so far decided between the route – Bandra Kurla Complex, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Baroda, Anand, Sabarmati and Ahmedabad. The estimated time of completion of this project is August 2022.
