Hyderabad experienced tremendous expansion in terms of both culture and economy between 1724 and 1948. The Nizams, who were among the richest people in the world, were tremendous supporters of literature, art, architecture, and cuisine.

Their lifestyle can be judged by how they lived by visiting the palaces in Hyderabad where the Nizam emperors formerly resided. The Nizams’ possessions have been repaired and displayed in several of these palaces, which are famous for their architecture so that people can see them. Some of them are still accessible for tours even if portions of some of them have been turned into hotels. However, some of these palaces require urgent renovation in order to return to their original splendour.
