The peak summer holiday season is here and travellers are packing bags and running to hill stations to get rid of this unbearable heat at least for a few days. India is home to so many breathtaking hilly destinations and mountains and the crowd is increasing to a huge extent in these places. To capitalise in the best way possible in this peak season, OYO is all set to launch hundreds of hotels in the most popular hilly places of India. Here’s all you need to know about the expansion of OYOs in prominent touristy places this summer season.

About 300 OYOs Are Coming Up By August 2023!

Tourist footfall is seeing a major spike in the mountains of India. Tourists are selecting the famous hill stations for short getaways. Targetting all these travellers this summer holiday season, the hospitality chain is all ready to launch 300 new hotels by August. Just a couple of months back in March, the company launched more than 180 OYOs in different hill stations all around India.

With days passing, the demand and search for stays in the mountains are only seeing a rapid increase. People are preferring short domestic holidays to hill stations this holiday season. 82 per cent of Indians are planning to travel this summer season, according to the OYO’s Summer Vacation Index 2023. Also, OYO stated in a press release that 92 per cent of these travel enthusiasts are willing to explore domestic places.

Manali Is The Most Booked Hill City This Summer Season

OYO shared in a press release that Manali is the leading hill station in terms of bookings to spend this summer holiday. In the next rank, we have Haridwar and Gangtok. These touristy places are followed by Ooty, Nainital, Srinagar, Mussoorie, Munnar, and Darjeeling.
