These Are Top 10 On-Time Global Airlines Of October On Monthly Performance Basis: Report

Mexico’s Aeromexico Is The Most On-Time Airline In October

With an On-Time Performance (OTP) of 91.88%, which was marginally higher than September’s 91.13%, Aeromexico (AM) held onto its top spot in the global rankings. Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX) in Mexico City serves as the airline’s primary hub. In terms of on-time performance, Aeromexico ranked first with 15,903 flights. It has a 91.88% rating for on-time arrivals, a 99.80% rating for recorded flights, and a 99.59% completion factor.

The flag carrier of Mexico, Aeroméxico, offers regular flights to more than 90 locations. These locations are across North, South, Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. Guadalajara and Monterrey serve as its auxiliary hubs, while Mexico City serves as its primary headquarters. The headquarters are situated at Mexico City’s Torre MAPFRE on Paseo de la Reforma.

Regarding region-specific leaders, Hainan Airlines, with an OTP of 87.14%, has emerged as the new leader in the Asia-Pacific region. Delta Air Lines, in North America; Scandinavian Airlines (SAS in Europe), in Latin America; and Safair, in the Middle East and Africa, are next in line. Over the past month, Delta Airlines has improved its OTP.

Here Are The Airlines That Hold Top 9 Ranks After Aeromexico

The other 9 airlines are included from different regions globally, like Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa, and so on. Here’s the detailed list in order.

1.Delta Air Lines

In the Global Airlines category, Delta Air Lines (DL) finished the month as the runner-up with an on-time performance of 90.53%, up almost 3 points from September’s 87.81%.

2. Saudia (SV)

Saudia (SV) improved slightly from 89.40% in September to take third place in the global airline category with an OTP of 89.69%. Saudi Arabia’s primary hub is King Khalid International Airport (RUH).

3. United Airlines (UA)

This month, United Airlines (UA) returned to the top 10 worldwide airline rankings for the first time since February. With an OTP of 88.13%, the Chicago-based airline improved by almost two points from September’s OTP of 86.47% to take fourth place.

4. Hainan Airlines (HU)

With an OTP of 87.14% at the end of the month, Hainan Airlines (HU) was in fifth place, a notable gain of almost 13 points from 74.21% in September.

5. SAS (SK)

Moreover, with an OTP of 86.64% in October, Europe’s SAS (SK) or Scandinavian Airlines was the regional leader and ranked sixth globally, up 4 points from September’s OTP of 82.45%. One of the main SAS hubs, is Copenhagen Airport (CPH) in Europe.

6. American Airlines (AA)

On the seventh ranking is American Airlines (AA), with a total of 188,481 flights, of which 86.17% were on-time arrivals, 99.99% were tracked flights, and 99.45% were completion factors. American Airlines’ main hub is in Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

7. JetBlue (B6)

JetBlue (B6) is ranked number eight with a total of 25,615 flights, of which 86% were on-time arrivals, 99.89% were tracked flights, and 97.91% were completion factors. JetBlue’s hub is at New York JFK International Airport.

8. ANA (NH)

Further, the second last ranking is given to ANA (NH), or All Nippon Airways, with 26,053 total flights; 83.66% were on-time arrivals, 99.98% were tracked flights, and 99.50% were completion factors. ANA’s hub is at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport (HND) and Narita International Airport (NRT).

9. WestJet (WS)

The last slot is given to WestJet (WS), with 15,715 total flights; 83.32% were on-time arrivals, 99.98% were tracked flights, and 99.13% were completion factors.
