The leader in the field of aviation analytics, it assists the aviation sector in understanding the past, present, and future of air travel. Bangalore’s Kempegowda International Airport has ranked first in the list of most on-time airports in the world.
Bangalore’s Kempegowda International Airport Is The Most On-Time Airport!

According to the September report of most on-time airports, Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore has ranked first in the list of most on-time airports. With an outstanding track record of on-time departures—87.51% in July, 89.66% in August, and 88.51% in September—KIA has solidly cemented its position as the top airport in terms of timeliness around the world.
The most recent on-time performance (OTP) monthly report from Cirium for September 2023 praised KIA and noted that 88.51% of flights at Kempegowda International Airport took off on schedule. This accomplishment demonstrates KIA’s unwavering dedication to effectiveness and punctuality.
With a network that includes 88 routes and partnerships with 35 airlines, KIA stands out as an important centre for air travel. Kempegowda International Airport, India’s third busiest airport, is experiencing remarkable growth, having served approximately 31.91 million passengers during FY 2022–2023. KIA excelled in on-time departures as well as posted an impressive on-time arrival rate of 79.46% during September.
Here Are The Airports That Hold 2nd & 3rd Rank
The airport to rank second in the list is Salt Lake City International Airport in Utah (USA). The airport located to the west of Downtown Salt Lake City is a civil-military airport. Moreover, it is the closest commercial airport for more than 2.5 million people. Also, it is a hub for Delta Air Lines and is a major gateway to the Intermountain West and West Coast. Every day, 343 scheduled nonstop flights leave the airport for 93 cities in North America and Europe. It is without a doubt Utah’s busiest airport.
The third one on the list is Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Hyderabad, the state capital of Telangana in India, is served by this international airport. It was established in March 2008, to take the place of Begumpet Airport, which had previously been the only commercial airport serving Hyderabad.
