Cirium is out with its monthly on-time performance report for October. The report reveals the top airports that were on time in October globally. A positive trend is being noticed, with notable improvement seen in October. The flight cancellations decreased by 8% compared to the previous month. Here is the list of the top 5 airports ranked on the basis of on-time performance.
Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP): Top On-Time Global Airport
Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) served 138 routes, out of which 90.69% were on-time departures. Tracked flights were 99.21%, while total flights were 26,144 with an average departure delay of 59.
The Twin Cities are served by Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, also called Wold-Chamberlain Field, a joint civil-military public international airport in Minnesota. It is situated in Fort Snelling Unorganised Territory and is conveniently close to both downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul—both within ten miles. The US Air Force and Minnesota Air National Guard operate out of the airport, along with commercial flights from major U.S. and foreign airlines.

Here Are The Airports That Hold the Top 4 Ranks After MSP
After MSP, these are the top 4 on-time airports. Riyadh King Khalid International Airport (RUH) ranks second among the top on-time airports globally. There were 20,493 flights with an average of 47 departure delays, 93 routes with 90.02% on-time departures, and 85.27% recorded flights provided by RUH.
The third place for on-time airports globally goes to Mexico City Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX). MEX has 89.79% on-time departure statistics, 99.43% recorded flight rates, and 24,560 total flights with an average of 59 departure delays throughout its 93 routes.
Further, Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is in fourth place with 96 routes served. With 89.56% on-time departure, SLC has 99.95% tracked flights, 19,533 total flights, and an average of 61 departure delays.
The last, but certainly not least, is Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), which serves 107 routes in total. With 99.81% of recorded flights, 25,362 total flights, and an average of 68 departure delays, PHL has an 88.81% on-time departure rate.
