After completing the training, the candidates receive a commercial pilot licence. And this 18-year-old girl from Himachal Pradesh is the youngest Indian to obtain this licence! Sakshi Kochhar, a 18-year-old from the small Himachal Pradesh town of Parwanoo, became the nation’s youngest person to hold a commercial pilot licence. She was a teenager when she was eligible to obtain a full-fledged four-wheeler vehicle licence. Sakshi received her commercial pilot licence certification on her 18th birthday.
In an interview with Republic Media Network, she stated that the first vehicle she tried her hands on was an aeroplane in the United States. Then, she managed to land the plane safely. She applied for her commercial pilot’s licence on the day she turned 18 and got it the same day. She further expressed her happiness and excitement about the licence and stated that flying was her priority.

Reaction Of Her Parents & Trainer
The young pilot expressed that at the age of 10, she knew she wanted to be a dancer. She has always liked and appreciated dancing and performing. However, she decided to challenge herself and establish a record that nobody else could surpass. Her trainer, AD Manek, praised the 19-year-old from Mumbai for becoming the youngest person to get a commercial pilot certificate.
Her parents proudly exclaim that she has constantly succeeded in both academics and extracurricular activities, having learned to play the harmonium in her early years.
Sakshi has been fascinated by the aviation sector since she was a little child of ten and has made the decision to become a pilot. She travelled 8,500 miles from her little community to the United States for training. The aviation club assigned her to complete advanced flying training at their certified training facility in the USA after she finished the basic four months of theory training.

She decided to enrol in Mumbai’s Skyline Aviation Club for her Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) training after completing her secondary education.
