But can a 24-carat gold kulfi cost ₹351? Is it even real? This is what Netizens are curious about. One of the users wrote that every ₹351 contributed to his (the vendor’s) jewellery collection. Another one stated that it is fake and the gold leaf is not even half-carat gold. People find it difficult to believe this gold kulfi and the vendor is making a fool of them.

This is not the first time someone has tried adding gold to food. A vendor in Lucknow tried making a “gold tea”. The making of the tea is demonstrated in the movie, and a gold leaf is then added on top.

Also, a Visakhapatnam biryani lover had launched special biryanis topped with edible 23-carat gold leaves. In Delhi, there is a vendor that sells ice cream coated with 24-carat gold leaf. And have you heard about gold chicken tikka? These tikkas are grilled and coated with gold leaf!
