One of the most annoying things while travelling in an aeroplane is sharing armrests with your fellow passengers! Especially when they hog the entire thing without any shame or apology! Finding a way around this issue, Frontier Airlines has introduced a new seating arrangement where you can avoid sharing armrests with other passengers by simply paying a little extra amount. The US-based airline is giving its passengers an option to pay for an empty middle seat in the aircraft to avoid feeling cramped. Here’s everything you need to know about this new seating product!
You Can Soon Opt For “No Armrest Sharing” In Frontier Airlines!
Flyers will soon be able to enjoy armrest space on both sides while travelling with Frontier Airlines. The airline has introduced a new “UpFront Plus Seating” arrangement that will allow passengers to pay for an empty middle seat. This will allow passengers extra space so that they can avoid sharing armrests and also enjoy more legroom.
The ultra-low-cost Frontier Airlines has announced that they will specially block off the middle seat in some rows for the UpFront Plus Seating. This way the passengers will have both the armrests and the chosen seats will also allow extra legroom – a win-win for both the departments!

UpFront Plus Seating Charges & More Perks
Of course, this extra space and comfort comes with a price! Frontier Airlines’ UpFront Plus seating upgrade will start at $49 (₹4,059). This, however, is an introductory offer and prices might go up in the future. The service will be available for passengers from April 10. The booking period for this introductory offer is March 20 to April 30.
In a statement issued by Barry Biffle, CEO of Frontier Airline, “Many consumers strongly prefer a seating option that offers extra space when flying. Frontier is all about choice and giving consumers the flexibility to customise their travel to suit their individual needs and preferences. UpFront Plus is a great option for those who want expanded personal space and extra comfort.”
