This Girl Went For A Free Dream Cruise To Singapore After Winning A Contest On Instagram

‘Travel more’ is our forever New Year’s resolutions, but we never get around to winning that lottery. But going on that all-paid dream trip may not be that impossible. Even if it may seem like we need to be a millionaire to jet around the world in style, sometimes you can get lucky by participating in a simple contest on social media. That’s exactly how my friend Payal got lucky and won a Dream Cruise to Singapore after participating in a contest on Instagram. And how did it all happen? Read on to know more.

The Stroke Of Luck

There is a saying that “The amount of good luck coming your way depends on your willingness to act”. So, instead of sitting down and hoping for something good to happen, act on it. I regretted not acting up the day when my friend messaged me to participate in a contest on Instagram, which honestly did not demand much of my time. I only had to like a post, comment and follow a specific page. I was always of the opinion that Instagram contests were a way to increase followers. Little did I know that the rewards promised were genuine. So, that evening when I got back home from work, I got a ping saying from Payal saying that ‘I won that Dream Cruise to Singapore’. While I was very happy for her, I thought to myself, ‘It could have been me, had I not ignored that contest.’

The All-Inclusive 4-Night Stay At Genting Dream Cruise

She got back to share a million of stories from her cruise. She had won a wonderful 4-night stay at the Genting Dream Cruise. And from what it looks like, it was a deal too good to be true. However, she had to fly from Pune to Singapore on her own expenses, the all-inclusive four-nights stay at the Genting cruise was free. Not only that, she won a trip for two, which would otherwise cost her nothing less than ₹100,000. Can I please say that I still hate her for not tagging me along? The cruise from Singapore also included day trips to Penang and Langkawi.

A Food Lover’s Paradise

Genting Dream Cruise is indeed a dream! It is a giant vessel setting sail with all the best things to offer. From amazing dining options to day theatres, the cruise has everything to make your experience in the sea memorable. Payal’s package included five meals a day where she could choose from the authentic Chinese Hall or Asian Dining Section with cuisines from Singapore, Malaysia and India. So, if you are a sucker for Indian food, you will never have to be disappointed on this cruise. ‘Cruises To Nowhere’ To Operate In Singapore From Nov 2020.

Day Trips To Penang & Langkawi

Sure a cruise is for endless sea views, but the Genting Cruise offers much more than this. For Payal, one of the best experiences was, waking up to a misty morning in Langkawi and witnessing the sunrise across the shoreline from her cabin. While it was not her first time in Malaysia, getting to explore it from the cruise was a whole new experience. For people who have never visited Malaysia, the Genting Dream Cruise can be a sure winner! Malaysia Bans Entry Of Citizens From India, Indonesia, & Philippines.

Hot Tub On Sail

Fancy hot tub on a ship? This is the place. The water slides lead to a gigantic pool which almost seems like a huge water park. Spend your day relaxing in the hot tub or go for the Day Theatre Show. Payal recalls watching the beautiful Voyage of a Lover’s Dream Musical Theatre.

The cruise is also known for some of the best party scenes. Payal had a blast at the Zouk Night Club. What’s more, the cruise also hosted a Bollywood dance party on the last night which ended with beautiful fireworks. The cruise also has one of the best casinos.

I am sure, that just like me, you must be convinced to participate in the Instagram contests by now. Good luck!
