The Janpath market in Connaught Place is a one-stop-shop for all kinds of things, meant for all kinds of budgets. But recently, we came across a Gujarati Market here, that had us in awe of all the things that were laid out.

Within this Gujarati market, not only will you find clothes, but some interesting pieces for home decor as well. It was the vibrant colours and the mirror-work that caught our attention. As we walked along the lane, we saw some gorgeous bags, stoles, jewellery, accessories and many other kinds of embellishments that showcase the traditional Kutch embroidery.

For those who like the bling factor, some of the pieces on display at this Gujarati market are an absolute steal. From silver jhumkis to necklaces, from bangles to rings and more, it offers you a wide variety. If you are lucky, or good with your bargaining skills, you might be able to some great deals on products, starting from Rs 50 onwards.

What’s more?

Some of these products at the Gujarati Market are being sold by the artisans themselves. So, if you want to know the story behind a cushion-cover that you have picked up which is beautifully embroidered, all you have to do is talk to the shop-keeper.

Also, we would suggest that you carry your tattered jacket or torn denim that has been lying in the cupboard for a while. You might find any artisans here, who will be willing to restore that for you for a nominal cost; and then viola! You’ll have a bright-coloured patch on an otherwise dull outfit that you had been neglecting for so long.
