Samosa is one of India’s favourite snacks, best enjoyed with spicy-sweet chutneys, prepared with maida (all-purpose flour) and stuffed with spiced potatoes and peas. But have you ever tried a huge samosa, almost as tall as 4 samosas stacked? A video has gone viral all over the internet where a food blogger introduced us to the world’s biggest samosa, available in Haridwar.

Foodpandits (@foodpandits), a food blogger, recently took to his Instagram handle to show the world’s biggest samosa made in Haridwar at Punjabi Lassi Wale. In the video, he asks the shopkeeper, “Suna hai yaha duniya ka sabse bada samosa milta hai” (I’ve heard you sell the world’s largest samosa). To which the shopkeeper replied, “Ji bhaiya (yes brother), 20-inch ka samosa.”
Further, he asked, “Bhaiya, yaha teen sizes hai. Bataoge, kon konse size ka samosa hai?” (Here, I can see three sizes. Can you tell me what sizes they are?) The shopkeeper said, “It’s 8 inches, 15 inches and 20 inches.”
The food blogger measured the size of a 20-inch samosa with his hand and said, “Yeh mere haath se double samosa hain” (It’s double the size of my hand). He even asked, “Ye sahi mein kha sakte hain?” (Can we actually eat this?) to which the shopkeeper replied positively, saying, “Ji.”
The shopkeeper made him try the samosa, served with sweet chutney prepared with gud and spicy pudina chutney. In the video, he also showed the fillings of paneer, potatoes, peas and dry fruits.
