This Is How Nushrratt Bharuccha’s Family Reacted After They Saw Her In Chhorii

During a Tere Gully Mein episode, Nushrratt Bharuccha and our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani devoured desi Chinese food in Juhu, Mumbai. While the duo were enjoying their spicy grub, Nushrratt opened up about how her family would often ask why she misses family gatherings and dinners, and how it all changed when they saw her in the movie ‘Chhorii’.

Family’s Reaction To Her Movie ‘Chhorii’

Nushrratt Bharuccha shared how her family would often complain about how she was not available for family events. She said they would often ask, “Where are you, why don’t you meet us, why don’t you talk to us”. However, it all changed after they all saw her work in ‘Chhorii’.

“When they saw the movie, my aunts called me and were like “oh my god! How did you do this? Weren’t you bruised, weren’t you in pain?” And I told them yes, I was! Now, do you understand why I wasn’t available? I was so tired after shoots that I was not able to go for family lunches, dinner, or play with the kids. My body felt so broken and I had no energy after work,” Nushrratt Bharuccha shared.

“After seeing the movie, they are like now we understand. My aunt said I’d come to your place to stay for a few days and I was like “Yes, please come home”! The whole project was very intense for me,” she further revealed.

Nushrratt Bharuccha’s Love For Desi Chinese Food

Nushrratt Bharuccha is a true street food lover and has a special place in her heart for desi Chinese food. So, naturally, we had to stop by Sagar Chinese in Juhu to enjoy her favourite food. The duo shared Triple Schezwan Veg Rice, Paneer Hot Garlic, Crispy Crunch Combo, Honey Chilli Potato, and American Chopsey while they were there.
