Aspen Becomes The Most Expensive City To Visit In The US
The United States of America is considered one of the most popular tourist spots for many, and yes, most of us also think of New York or Florida as the most expensive places to visit in the country. But in a surprising twist, Aspen in Colorado has surpassed both these places to emerge as the most costly destination in the US, as per a recent report in GOBankingRates.
A mere 3-day trip to this place, known for skiing, snowy mountains, and scenic views, can cost you around $2,708(₹2,32,189 approx.), including over $1,300 (₹1,11,464 approx.)for flights, $791(₹67,822 approx) for a 3-night hotel stay, and $510(₹43,713 approx.) for meals and drinks at budget-friendly restaurants, as per New York Post.
The data also showed that this place, famous among skiers, can be expensive all year round. New York City was not even in the second spot, as that place was held by Santa Barbara in California, a known celeb hotspot. As per the reports, a 3-day trip to Santa Barbara can cost around $2,446 (₹2,09,733 approx.)!

The Big Apple Earns The Seventh Place!
As per the report in the New York Post, Anchorage in Alaska, a popular spot among wilderness explorers, came in third, followed by Bar Harbor in Maine, and the Arctic. The Big Apple or New York City was reportedly in seventh place. The most surprising part? Florida, known for its beautiful beaches and warm weather, offers a more budget-friendly option compared to the five above-mentioned locations. It ranked 55th with a cost of $1,630 (₹1,39,766 approx.)or less for two adults.
Other destinations like Kissimmee and Orlando were also below on the list, making them much more affordable. The list clearly shows that places like Aspen and Santa Barbara are luxury getaways for travellers who don’t mind spending, while other destinations are more suitable for money-conscious tourists.
