This Is What Diljit Dosanjh Eats As Soon As He Lands In India

Oye Punjabi aa gaye! Recently, the sensational Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa were on our Sunday Brunch episode with our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani. This duo from the much-loved rom-com Jatt & Juliet films is a great hit on the big screens. Diljit even considers Neeru his lady luck for films and holds this Canadian actress in high regard. Today, we will reveal the first dish he loves to eat every time he comes to India.

What Does Diljit Dosanjh Eat The Moment He Lands In India?

The Punjabi singer has a lot of houses in different corners of the world but India is his forever home. Diljit was born and brought up in Punjab and he fondly talks about representing his cultural roots through his work. Coming to the topic of food, Kamiya asked him about his go-to food item to relish the moment he steps foot in his motherland, India. He told us that poha is his favourite dish to eat whenever he is in India.

Poha is one of the most popular dishes in Maharashtra. It is a light and nutritious breakfast dish made with dried, flattened and parboiled rice, spiced with onions, tomatoes, spices, lemon juice, coriander & peanuts. Diljit was saddened to discover that most places abroad do not have the luxury of enjoying poha from a roadside vendor! Hence, he enjoys eating poha as much as he can. Neeru added that just yesterday, he made poha, which encouraged her to order a huge plate of poha and boiled eggs.
