Nawazuddin Siddiqui invited our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, to his beautiful home in Mumbai for a house tour and a wholesome meal. On this episode of Sunday Brunch, they engaged in an interesting conversation over some delicious delicacies like Dal Ghost, Bajra Roti, and Phirni. Talking about his latest movie, Kamiya brought up the poster of ‘Costao’ and its tagline, “Everything comes at a cost.” Curious, she asked him if there was a similarity between him and Costao’s character. Let’s see what Nawaz had to say.
What Is Common Between Nawazuddin Siddiqui And His Character In Costao
Nawazuddin Siddiqui revealed that the one common thing he shares with his character in Costao is “madness”! He explained that Costao lives in a small house in Mumbai and carries a certain ‘Pagalpan’ within him. He added that he, too, carries the same madness, which makes it the common link between him and the character. Talking about madness, Kamiya asked him, what’s the craziest thing he had ever done?
He instantly referred to his role in the movie ‘Raman Raghav’ and revealed how he stepped out of his comfort zone to get into the depths of the character. Nawazuddin shared that the character he played could kill anyone easily and felt no pain. For him, it was hard to believe in that state of mind, let alone present it on screen. To resonate and adapt with the character, he went into the woods to find the darkness within himself. And after three days, he finally started to believe in the character, just enough to do justice to the story.
