Nestled beside the popular South City Mall in Kolkata’s Prince Anwar Shah Road, Chumuke Chomok sells this unique beverage. This roshogolla chai is sold at ₹35 per cup and is a hit among the locals. The beverage allows tea lovers to enjoy the magic of milk tea and roshogolla together at the same time.

No Sugar, But An Entire Roshogolla Is Put Inside The Chai

To prepare roshogolla chai, first milk is poured inside a container, boiled and thickened. Then tea powder is added to the boiling milk. The next step would have been to add sugar if it were a typical tea. But in this instance, no sugar is added. An entire piece of fluffy, spongy roshogolla is pushed into the tea. The moment you take a sip of the drink, you might simply be bowled over with its aura.

The Tea Got Mixed Reactions From The Netizens

The video of this one-of-a-kind chai was recently shared by the popular Kolkata food vlogger Soham Sinha on his Instagram handle ‘kolkatadelites’. In a span of 9 hours, the video has grabbed over 3390 likes and 300 comments. The netizens however have mixed reactions about the tea. While some are in awe of the experiment, many others aren’t happy with the drink. Commenting on the video, one user wrote, “Is it for real?”. Another stated, “Please don’t mess with my chai.”
