On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi especially congratulated Lakshadweep residents as two more Indian beaches entered the category of Blue Flag beaches. Blue tag is a label given to the cleanest eco-friendly destinations. The Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav shared this news via his Twitter handle.
Now India Has 12 Blue Beaches
Thundi Beach and Kadmat Beach in Lakshadweep have received Blue Flags. This is a proud moment for all Indians. After all, including these two, India has 12 blue beaches in total. Bhupendra Yadav (Environment minister) shared this news by writing, “Two more Indian beaches have made it to the list of Blue Beaches. Minicoy, Thundi Beach, and Kadmat Beach are the proud entrants in the coveted list of Blue Beaches.”

Yadav Urged Everybody To Visit These Two Beaches In Lakshadweep

Bhupendra Yadav believes that Thundi Beach is one of Lakshadweep’s most pristine beaches, with white sands fringing the lagoon’s turquoise waters. While Kadmat Beach is a popular cruise destination for water sports. He urges everyone to visit these beautiful spots in Lakshadweep.
Well, this certification definitely increases tourism in India as travellers mainly look out for places that maintain high environmental and quality standards. Last year, Kovalam Beach in Tamil Nadu and Eden Beach in Puducherry received the tags for Blue Beaches.
