According to KMF president Bhima Nayak, the famous Tirupati Laddus will no longer be made with ghee from the Nandini dairy, an enterprise run by the KMF. After Nandini milk product prices increased, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) granted the ghee tender to a different company.

As per the Hindustan Times report, the KMF president announced a rise in the price of milk beginning on August 1 and stated that the price of ghee will also increase. The TTD has discovered a new business that offers them ghee to produce Tirupati Laddus at a lower cost. Therefore, after a long time, they had to discontinue providing Nandini ghee to TTD.

He also added that Nandini’s ghee is produced in accordance with international standards, and other brands’ ghee cannot compare to its quality. According to the president, the laddus won’t be the same. He also guarantees that Nandini offers the best ghee available and passes all quality inspections.

Further, he states that he assumes that the quality will be degraded if any brand is supplying ghee for less money than Nandini. Ghee for Tirupati laddus has reportedly been provided by Nandini for more than 50 years.

The Karnataka cabinet approved a price increase for Nandini milk of 3 per litre on Thursday. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah stated that from August 1, the price of the milk [toned] will increase to ₹42 per litre. It costs between ₹54 and ₹56 per litre elsewhere. It costs ₹44 per litre in Tamil Nadu.

Tirumala Tirupati is a well-known spiritual location in Andhra Pradesh that receives thousands of pilgrims each week. Laddus are regarded as Lord Balaji’s offering, and they are also a well-liked Prasad that is typically brought home by worshippers.
