Tom Holland was carded during an amusing journey to buy his non-alcoholic beer. In a series of Instagram Stories uploaded to his account on Tuesday, February 18, the 28-year-old British actor took his fans on a journey to purchase his premium non-alcoholic beer, Bero, from Target.
Tom Sets Out To Find Bero, His Non-Alcoholic Beer
Holland posted a selfie video while strolling through a parking lot, explaining that it had been a long time since he was in the United States. He sets out to find some Bero on the shelves. After the little clip, there was another one with the Spider-Man star inside the superstore. Admittedly, it wasn’t the best marketing because Tom had been to two Targets and both of them didn’t have the drink.
Not deterred by this, Holland continued the hunt for Bero and hit the jackpot at the third store. This is where he hit the unexpectedly funny snag. In his last video from the day’s exploration, Holland was shown returning to a parking lot and describing how, despite having finally located his Bero, he nearly failed to obtain any.
Why Couldn’t Tom Holland Buy His Own Beer?
It’s no surprise that Tom Holland doesn’t look his age. And while that is a highly regarded complement, it certainly came in the way of him buying his own product. He had only carried his English ID to the store and Target didn’t permit that. Because of this, they couldn’t prove his age!
Although, since the beer was non-alcoholic, it remains unclear why one needed to be of a certain age to buy it. Tom narrated the incident to his fans laughingly, telling them that a kind employee scanned her own ID and he was finally able to buy the beer. After entering the non-alcoholic market, Holland told PEOPLE that he had recognised the need for a high-end, genuine brand. To help people like him feel included, he founded Bero.
By naming one of the beers Noon Wheat, Holland subtly referenced his and his fiancée Zendaya’s 9-year-old miniature schnauzer, Noon, in a Target advertisement circulated last month.
