LawnStarter has rolled out a list of the top 10 sustainable cities in the US. The list was made after comparing 200 cities on the basis of five sustainability criteria.
Taking a look at the list, you can see that San Francisco, the Paris of the West, ranks first. This means that San Francisco is undoubtedly the most sustainable city in the United States.
Vegan cuisine is a staple in San Francisco. The restaurants and vendors here can convert California’s cuisine, like Mexican food, into environmentally-sound vegan options. The residential streets, restaurants, stores, and campuses in this city have containers to help with waste disposal. The city also has ‘hydro-electric’ and ‘zero emission’ vehicles.

These are the top 10 sustainable cities in the United States. The cities were named in the new study by LawnStarter which compared around 200 cities. The sustainability-boosting criteria are alternative fuel stations, zero-energy buildings, greenhouse gas emissions, and other 26 metrics.
San Francisco topped the list, followed by Boston and New York. Boston secured the second rank on the list because of energy generation, greenhouse gas emissions, transportation, climate adaptation, and other sustainable actions.
