Snowfall In The Town Of Gulmarg

Avalanche warnings were issued for seven J&K districts by the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) and the Meteorological Department (MeT) for the upcoming 24 hours.

While rains pounded Jammu and Kashmir’s lowlands over the past 24 hours, fresh snow fell in Gulmarg Ski Resort and other higher peaks.

MeT officials informed travellers that while Gulmarg faced light snowfall, other higher reaches also received snowfall. The mercury also came down after the plains of Jammu and Kashmir faced intermittent rainfall.
