If you follow Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan on Twitter, you know how he regularly updates us about the happenings in the wildlife area. Recently, he shared some thrilling news with the general public. He shared a picture of a tiger that was spotted in Bengal’s Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary on his official Twitter account. Netizens were simply overjoyed upon seeing the picture. 

Tiger Spotted In Bengal’s Mahananda Sanctuary

Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan shared a picture of a tiger that was spotted in Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary. The picture is the first-ever camera trap picture of a tiger in this sanctuary. 

While sharing the picture on Twitter, he also mentioned in the caption that the last documentation of a tiger in this sanctuary was about 20 years ago! This picture surely is a cheer for all wildlife enthusiasts. 

A camera trap is nothing more than a digital camera attached to an infrared sensor, which can detect moving objects, such as animals. An image or video is recorded to the memory card for later retrieval when an animal travels past the sensor and activates the camera. 

They are intended to gather important information about wildlife and their habitats, species locations, population levels, and how species interact. (As per NDTV and WWF)

Twitteratis Shared Their Happiness

Soon after Officer Parveen shared the picture of the tiger spotted at Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary on Twitter, the post was bombarded with many likes and comments. It has by far received 122K views and over 4000 likes. Twitteratis shared their happiness and reactions in the comment section. 

Many people lauded the government and their efforts to protect this endangered species. While many wished to hear the same news for other sanctuaries in their state and region as well. 

One user gave this news a hilarious twist by relating the camera trap picture with one of the scenes from the recent Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2 trailer. While another user asked, “Where is Pushpa?’

Others were curious to know if the tiger had walked in from other nearby regions to the sanctuary.
