Top 6 Maa Ke Haath Ka Khaana We All Love

Do you know what’s most comforting when you return home from a long day at work? It’s the freshly prepared piping hot food that your mom serves you. And while for most of us, it’s regular food, it is only when we stay away from home that we learn to appreciate its worth. Because that’s when the word ‘home’ suddenly becomes synonymous with ‘maa ke haath ka khana’.

Made by spending hours in the kitchen and sprinkling the ‘secret ingredient’ i.e. love in abundance, there is something so special and unique about every mother’s food. And we bet, nothing in the world can compare to the food made by our moms.

Top 6 Maa Ke Haath Ka Khana We All Love

Here are 6 foods made by our mothers, which we think, all of us by the virtue of being Indians love:

Rajma Chawal: No plate of food spells comfort than a nice big fat bowl of rajma chawal. The rice accompanied with the spicy and tangy rajma is like a match made in heaven. And of course, the extra dollop of love and warmth that our mothers add is what makes rajma chawal the most loved dish ever.

Aloo Paratha: Another desi and comfort-inducing dish, which has MOTHER written all over it, is aloo ke parathe. And it is on this dish that our mothers are guilty of spreading way too much ghee, but that’s exactly how we like it, don’t we?

Poori Aur Aloo Ki sabzi: What better breakfast companion than this, no? This dish just makes me nostalgic about mom screaming from the kitchen, asking if any one of us wanted any more hot pooris to along with the spicy aloo ki sabzi.
