Have you ever dreamt of working in the United Kingdom? If yes, we have some fascinating news for you. If you hold a tourist visa in this country, you can soon get to work in the UK. Yes, you heard that right. A great change is coming up in the visa regulations allowing foreigners with tourist visas to engage in work.

The UK is bringing a significant change to its visa rules. In a unique approach and development, the all-new changes are ready to grant people with tourist visas to work in the country, engage in client work, and also work remotely during their time in this country. There are different expectations from the new rule as it will not only allow individuals with tourist visas to work while being in the UK but is also likely to positively impact the tourist sector and businesses of the nation, according to a report by The Times of India.

This significant change is all set to come into action on January 31, 2024. Soon, tourist visa holders will get to explore a new path of working in the UK. Travellers from different places can engage in remote jobs but this cannot be the primary reason for living in the UK.

For research purposes, researchers and scientists can soon do so. Academics will need to take permission extensions in the UK or apply for a 12-month visit visa.

Many Foreign Students Can No Longer Get Visas For Their Families

In a recent development, many international students cannot bring their families to the United Kingdom anymore. Taking to social media, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced “From today, the majority of foreign university students cannot bring family members to the UK”. The rule is effective starting from January 1, 2024.

Overseas students who are pursuing any postgraduate research or government-funded scholarships are exempt from this latest rule for international students. Students who are not pursuing any of the above-mentioned programmes cannot get visas for their dependants or family members.
