Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 In Delhi: 7 Pandals To Experience The Festival’s True Magic!

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of those festivals where the entire atmosphere changes. You can see vibrant lights, hear the dhol, smell incense and fresh flowers, and sense the happiness of people coming together. Every year, the festivities in Delhi get bigger and livelier. From ceremonies to big idols and creative themes, the pandals in the capital city have something unique to offer everyone. Here are some of the top Ganesh Chaturthi pandals that Delhi has to offer this year.

Ganesh Chaturthi Pandals In Delhi

1. Lal Bagh Ka Raja

This year, Lal Bagh Ka Raja in Pitampura is the one pandal you simply must not miss. A magnificent 18-foot-tall Ganpati idol, the tallest in Delhi, has been brought in by the organisers! According to the Hindustan Times, it is even more remarkable because it was made by the same artist who makes the renowned Lalbaugcha Raja idol in Mumbai. With its grand temple-like design and air conditioning, the pandal itself will be comfortable even for the large crowds. The energy here is bound to give you goosebumps.

2. Maharashtra Sadan

If you’re looking to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in a traditional Maharashtrian style in Delhi, Maharashtra Sadan pandal is the place to be. This year marks their 28th Ganesh Utsav, and they are celebrating it in a very special way. Since UNESCO recently recognised 12 forts of Maharashtra as heritage sites, the pandal decorations will showcase those forts in all their glory. The 4.5-foot idol of Ganpati will be welcomed with dhol, chants, and rituals at exactly 11 am on the first day. Special music troupes from Mumbai will also perform bhajans here, adding to the festive vibe.

3. Ganesh Sewa Mandal

The Laxmi Nagar pandal is truly unique this year because it’s paying tribute to the Indian Armed Forces. The decorations will include replicas of missiles, fighter jets, and other symbols of India’s strength, reminding visitors of the bravery and unity of our soldiers. To add to that, the organisers are also honouring astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla and his mission. Unlike many other pandals, this one is also eco-conscious. The idol, a 2.5-foot mud murti from Pune, will not be immersed in the Yamuna but in a special tank within the pandal. It’s a beautiful blend of devotion, patriotism, and care for the environment.

If you love rituals, flowers, and food, you will fall in love with this pandal. Their idol is being brought all the way from Chennai, made by traditional South Indian artists. On Ganesh Chaturthi morning, the festivities start with a stirring 25-mool mantra jaap and include a Rudra Abhishek at 6:30 am. The pandal will smell of roses, marigolds, and hibiscus, and the idol will be exquisitely decorated in sandalwood, gold, and silver. Don’t forget to taste their chana prasad and wholesome bhojan.

5. Dilli Haat

At Dilli Haat, Ganesh Chaturthi turns into a full family day out. There is much more to do here, but the 5-foot Ganesh idol will be the focal point of devotion. There will be craft booths, puppet shows, dance and music performances, and delicious food vendors serving festive food. The shopping, performances, and festive atmosphere are perfect for adults, while children will love the designated play area with swings and slides. It’s one of Delhi’s most vibrant pandals to see during Ganesh Chaturthi.

6. RK Puram Ganesh Utsav

If you wish to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in a more conventional and religious way in Delhi, don’t miss visiting the RK Puram Ganesh Utsav Pandal. This one is organised by South Indian communities and is one of the oldest Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in the capital city. The celebration here is all about purity, simplicity, and devotion. The prasad is definitely the highlight for a lot of visitors.
