The transport minister of Himachal Pradesh Bikram Singh has launched these Volvo bus services under the UDAN scheme. Thus, travellers can now travel directly to Manali, Shimla and Dharamshala from the Chandigarh airport. For travel between Chandigarh airport and Shimla, the fare per person will be ₹450. For travel between Chandigarh airport and Manali, the fare per person will be ₹1,172. The fare will be ₹818 for travel between Chandigarh airport and Dharamshala.

An Affordable Means Of Transport From The Airport
The Volvo buses for Shimla, Manali and Dharamshala will leave Chandigarh airport at 7 PM, 7:50 PM and 3 PM respectively. For Shimla to Chandigarh airport travel, the bus will leave Shimla at 12:25 PM. For Manali to Chandigarh airport travel, the bus will leave Manali at 8 AM. The Dharamshala-Chandigarh airport bus will start from Dharamshala at 6:40 AM. Manali, Shimla and Dharamshala receive a large number of tourists all around the year. The Volvo bus service will be an affordable and comfy alternative for all those who want to reach the destinations from the airport.
