Etihad Airways recently revealed that it has signed a codeshare agreement with Tunisair. Through this agreement, they plan to enhance the air connectivity between North Africa and Abu Dhabi. Etihad Airways is based out of Abu Dhabi, and now travellers from the emirate can soon travel to Tunis under the new codeshare agreement that have been signed between the two airlines. They can travel on either of the airline’s codeshare on Etihad-operated services. This partnership basically streamlines the journey with a single ticket, one check-in, and automatic baggage transfer to the final destination. As a result, it would make travelling across the network a lot simpler and hassle-free.

This agreement covers the three-weekly flights by Etihad Airways on the Abu Dhabi-Tunis route. For those who are wondering, this was launched on November 1st, 2025. As it happens, the flight operates on Etihad’s Airbus A321LR. It offers three cabin classes, complete with two first suits, 14 business, and 144 economy seats. Through the partnership, this opens travel opportunities for Gulf travellers to Maghreb and Africa. Not to mention, travellers of Tunisair can also get access to the service of Etihad Airways, making Abu Dhabi an easier destination for them to reach.

Etihad Airways Named The Safest Full-Service Airline

This comes at a time when it was recently revealed that Etihad Airways carried 2.1 million passengers on November 1st, 2025. Yes, it marked a 28% increase compared to the same month in 2024 for the airline. Not only this, but Etihad Airways has also been in the headlines for being ranked as the safest full-service airline in the world. This was by AirlineRating, which places the Abu Dhabi-based carrier at the top of the global list, which compared 320 airlines. The ranking assessed their safety operations and product standards.

So, with the new codeshare agreement, it would make travelling between the two regions easier for the passengers.
