A visit to Ranthambore National Park has now become expensive after the forest department hiked tiger safari charges by 10%. The revised rates have now come into effect. This means wildlife lovers planning a safari might have to shell out some extra rupees. Here’s what the new prices are.

Tiger Safari Prices Hiked In Ranthambore National Park 

A visit to a place like Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan is on the bucket list for anyone who loves to explore wildlife and nature. But according to The Times of India, the jungle safari has now become costlier by 10%. Reportedly, the annual hike follows a 2016 decision to revise entry and safari fees by 10% every year from April 1.

Moreover, the revised rates apply to both domestic and foreign tourists opting for canter and gypsy safaris inside the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Under the new rates, Indian tourists will now pay ₹986.63 per person for a canter, up from ₹888 earlier. For foreign tourists, the canter charge has increased from ₹2176.10 to ₹2,399.63 per person.

Gypsy Safari Also Gets Expensive

According to The Times of India, the safari charges for gypsy in Ranthambore National Park have also been hiked. Indian visitors will now pay ₹1,611.80 per person, while foreign tourists will now pay ₹3,024.80 per person. Earlier, the gypsy charge for Indians was ₹1,455.17 and for foreigners it was ₹2,743.17. This hike is modest, but those who go on multiple safaris in a day might find it a bit too much.
